So comel!
Here are some hadiths on our Prophet's compassion for his beloved daughter, Fatimah Az-Zahra. Credit to: alahazrat.net
"My daughter is part of me. He who disturbs her in fact disturbs me and he who offends her offends me." [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3767]
Oh, my.
"The best women in the entire world are four: The Virgin Mariyam Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha daughter of Imran and Aasiya Radi Allahu Ta'ala the wife of Pharaoh and Khadija Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha Mother of the Believers and Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha, daughter of Muhammad SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam."[Mustadrak al-Hakim, Vol. 4, Page 262, Hadith 4745]
How proud he was to his daughter. Oh, melting.
"I have not seen any one of Allah's SubHanuhu wa Ta'ala creation resemble the Messenger of Allah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam more in speech, conversation and manner of sitting than Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha. When the Holy Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam saw her approaching, he would welcome her, stand up and kiss her, take her by the hand and sit her down in the place where he was sitting." [al-Adab al-Mufrad, Page 406, Hadith 421]
Ooh...
Sayyidah Ayesha Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha reported that when she asked Sayyidah Fatimah Radi Allahu Ta'ala Anha the reasons of her crying and laughing when her father talked to her secretly, she said:
"He informed me secretly of his death and so I cried. He then informed me secretly that I would be the first amongst the members of his family to follow him, so I laughed."[Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3427; Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2450]
Such a comfort...
I've lost for better words.

Simply Can't
The girls' school plans an educational visit to Kidzania this 18th May.
I cant't wait. I just simply c-a-n-n-o-t-w-a-i-t.

A Talk to Remember
We had dinner outside. The waiter asked me what I'd like to have and he addressed me as Kakak. And my observant 3 years old girl, Iris, asked me, "Kenapa Abang tu panggil Mummy, Kakak?"
I was so dejected with the term used by the waiter, and now I got to explain it to Iris, "Sebab Mummy dah tua sebab tu-lah Abang tu panggil Mummy, Kakak."
"Mummy tak tua. Mummy muda lagi."
She made my day.

My Little Einstein
Iris loves to ask me why.
Kenapa hujan?
Kenapa malam?
Kenapa kita makan?
Kenapa mata kita ada dua?
Kenapa baby minum susu Mummy?
Kenapa kita solat?
Kenapa moon ikut kita?
Kenapa ada banyak pokok?
Kenapa baby sedih?
Kenapa Bapak work malam-malam?
Kenapa Mummy basuh baju?
Kenapa?
Iris, Kenapa or Why is such a philosophical type of question, instead, ask me How or What or When.
And the most philosophical question by her so far is "Kenapa Allah tak datang pun rumah kita?"

B is for Bookxcess
I had a solo visit to Bookxcess last week (and that was how the entry of "Sweet Victory"started). And tell you, I had quite a serious damage to my wallet. I bought everyone books, and I managed to get the books wrapped since they provide free wrapping service. So I get everyone surprised when they came back home. Enjoy the photos.
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him. -Maya Angelou-
There is no friend as loyal as a book. -Ernest Hemingway-
I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book. -Groucho Marx-
Miss a meal if you have to, but don't miss a book.-Jim Rohn-
The book you don't read, won't help.-Jim Rohn-
'What is the use of a book', thought Alice, 'without pictures or conversations?'-Lewis Carroll-
If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can ever warm me, I know that is poetry.-Emily Dickinson-
Finishing a good book is like leaving a good friend.-William Feather-
April Achievers!
Iris Adeena |
- She can recite Surah Al-Fatihah, but she get a slight error at the 7th verse which she read as "Sirotollazi Tam Tam 'Alaihim". I hope Allah will still get her meaning of "The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace."
- She can recite Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas very well.
Iesha Aafreen |
- She can jump.
- She creates her own songs.
- She can form four-words sentences, e.g. "Bapak work tolong orang."
- She can dress herself quite well and comb her hair.
Iyra Alveena |
- She can lay on her stomach.
- She smiles a lot, I really meant a lot!
- She shows curiosity whenever we had our meals by sticking her tongue out and staring at the food. I guess she's ready for solid.
- She can play solo.
- She can express her unpleasant feeling by baby screaming to Kak Iris and Kak Iesha whenever they hugged her too tight.

Sweet Victory
You think you might get the fearest fear if you get lost on that spiraling highways in a big city,
No, you don't even have feelings.
You think you want to call everyone in your contact list so they can help you show the right way,
No, you have attitude problem trusting people.
You think you can use your smart phone with the smartest application on earth, you name it GPS and such,
No, you dumb and that's it.
You think you want to call your mom asking her for comfort,
No, she would question you why you troubling yourself at the first place.
You think if you lost on that unfamiliar routes is no fun,
No, it is so much fun you want to do it again.
You think it would be a sweet victory once you found the way home,
Yes, it is indeed the sweetest victory.
Laa, cerita pasal sesat je ke?

Live slow, live stupid.
How I wish I could brush my hair and style them in silly ways and run my fingers through it,
How I wish I could follow an ant to his home and see he serves the sugar to his family,
How I wish I could sit on a couch with my girls and enjoy watching Little Kingdom,
How I wish I could have a bet on my favorite raindrop and watch the raindrops marathon on my windowpane,
How I wish I could see a cat fight and follow the lost cat home and see how he'd enjoy his lost,
How I wish I could slip into my girls' blankets and sniff them and sniff and sniff,
How I wish I could hug my Firdausku and say that he's the man I want to be with in Sorga,
How I wish I could watch the clouds and see them reshape into rabbit, heart, birds, babies, and back to clouds,
How I wish I could fold my girls's clothes and know that they would outgrow the clothes in no time,
How I wish I could think before I talk and so I'd only say wisdom and happy words,
How I wish I could talk to the Lords of the Worlds and counting the blessings He had given to me.
Oh how I wish for a slow life.
