We do playgrounds!

We are urban dwellers, yaww! We have small house with no yards, yaww! So we do playgrounds! And for the parents, here are the tips taking kids to the playgrounds:

Wear appropriate attire. No open-toed shoes. Wear hats.
Do keep an eye on your child.
Do share. The playground is free for all.
Do intervene. If you see a child doing something dangerous, don't assume his caregiver is watching. Help to remind the child.
Do pay attention. See whether your child is bullying others or run wildly. Bullying ain't cool.
Don't be a playground gossip.
Don't get mad when older kids hog the equipment.
Don't assume. Check the equipment.
Let kids be kids. Stay out of "No! Jangan. Nanti jatuh!"

Encourage regular daily naps.
Set your child's biological clock.
Develop a consistent bedtime routine.
Create a cozy sleep environment.
Provide the right nutrition.
Help your child to be healthy and fit.
Teach your child how to relax.

I overheard this when I cleaned the dishes.

Iris: Bapak, kenapa moon dia kat atas tapi tak jatuh pun? Kalau macam bird takpe-lah dia tak jatuh sebab dia ada wings. Tapi kenapa moon tak jatuh sebab moon tak ada wings?

I was like whaaat?

Bapak: Oh, tu sebab kat atas tu tak ada graviti. Kat earth ni masih ada graviti. Graviti-lah yang buat kita tak jatuh, tak melayang-layang. Moon dah jauh sangat dari earth, so dia dah tak ada graviti, sebab tu dia tak jatuh.

Learning gravity at the age of four? And I was like whaaat???
