So History
Things that I miss:
- Burping
- Waking up every half an hour at night to pee pee
- Morning sickness
- Food craving
- Swollen belly
- Small kicks in my tummy
- Itchy tummy
- Phone conversation with Nek Ma telling her your weekly growth. (“Mama, minggu ni baby besar timun cino doh. Minggu ni aktiviti untuk baby kena menari. Baby suko bilo dio raso swaying gitu.”)
But the thing I miss the most is: Size S me.

Daddy's Precious
A daddy’s girl and you can’t even crawl yet. It’s so wonderful to watch your relationship develop. You’ve got Bapak wrapped around your tiny little finger; you both look upon each other with such adoration. He loves you so much. He would travel from Kuantan to Kelantan just to meet you and hug you. He didn’t fail to come back to Kelantan every free weekend and brought you toys. The first person he would kiss in the morning is you, me no more. Once he holds you, he would never let you go. You love your special times with him, you trust him completely, and the bond is evident even to complete strangers.

One Little Lock
Tok Ba suggested cutting your hair with his idol, Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz. Reading July’s issue of Mastika, I don’t think that idea would come true because we have to queue for hours to get Tuan Guru to cut newborns’ hair. Since you are Tok Ba’s first granddaughter, we tried to make his dream comes true.
So we get up so early in Friday morning, 15th September 2008 rushing to Tuan Guru’s place in Kota Bharu. Everyone wanted to see you with your new hairstyle so one car wasn’t enough hence we went there with two cars. The persons who escorted you were Tok Ba (he was more excited to shake hands with Tuan Guru than seeing your new hairstyle), Tok Sue, Nek Sue, Nek Mie, Kak Farhah and Kak Yasmin. It seemed like we were kidnapping you because Tok Ba drove the car quite fast in the dark and there were no cars on the road. Phew, thank God we arrived there safely at roughly 5.30 in the morning.
You and I were left all alone in the car when everybody performed Subuh prayer. It was an unforgettable moment listening to Surah read by Tuan Guru while watching you sleep in my hands. You are such a wonderful divine given by Allah to me. I also felt sad at the same time looking to your newborn hair for the last time. At first I don’t agree to cut your purely soft hair, but everybody said you would get itchy head.
When they finished Subuh prayer, Bapak and Tok Sue brought you to the place where the mencukur event is held. Seeing other parents brought their newborns, I only hope for the best, yet still prepare for the worst. And to our surprise, it only took you 20 minutes to get to Tuan Guru and you were number three in queue. So here are the shots Tok Sue managed to take while Tuan Guru cut few of your hair.
Shot 2
After the event, we went back home and once again Tok Ba drove a car like nobody business because he was so shocked he can shake hands with his idol. And that evening, you have all your hair cut off by Bapak and Tok Ba and Mummy kept on screaming to have them careful with your tiny and soft head skin. And I was busy picking up your hair to keep it in my scrapbook.
